windshield install ??

i have a 65 b-body,starfire,was wondering if any one has put there own winshield in ,and if they used the spacer,s that are shown in the manuel.or if used just the butyle tape, and the two rubber spacer,s on the bottom that keep window from dropping, any help in this problem would really be appreciated , thanks will.

The 3m kit comes with spacers. You need them, or the original ones, to hold the windshield from sliding down.

The first time I did an A-body windshield, I didn't use the spacers. The glass was too far to one side. I tried to force the stainless trim on...

I was a lot better on the second windshield.

windshield ?

i thank you all for the replys , so am i understanding this right , that there is no need for any spacer,s that go under the windshield to keep it a certain distance from the pinchweld, that the 3 m kit will take care of that,i am missing something ,cause in my manual , it shows 9 or 10 spacers, any way , thank you for the help, will.

No, you DO need the spacers. New ones come with the 3M kit. Use the new ones.
