After I took the original hubcaps off for safe keeping and threw on a set of dog dish Olds caps for the fun of it.

Here's my current one when I bought it:

And here it is back in December 2012 when I took it down the Southern NJ Shore. Grandmom sold her house and had a lot of stuff to bring home.

@henryk8398 "Marty" is looking really good! You have the same Frost Beige/Cream paint as I do on my 85 D88.

Just curious what did it run you $ for the new vinyl top???

UGH. It was expensive, but done by a guy who has been doing them for 40 years. It was about $650.00. He also redid my visors at that time. I found quotes for around $400, but they didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. As you can see it came out beautifully.

Here's my '83 Regency Brougham. I kind of lost touch and spent nearly $6k on parts for it in the two years I've had it and still have barely driven it. Last fall the driver''s side got sideswiped and I need doors for it now, which I did anyway due to the rot at the bottoms, but wasn't looking to get into the body work aspect yet. What I really need is a good parts car with a blue interior as I need all sorts of odds and ends to bring things up to par. It's in good shape, but was neglected for some time so there was a lot of detailing and deteriorated parts to take care of. I'm a huge fan of these b-c bodies so it's my pet project.

HenryK that vinyl top looks fantastic, can't tell it from the factory job, even has the stitching!

Thanks! That's one of the reason's I went with Mr. Agostino. He specifically mentioned that the material he used would come pre-stitched. Apparently, it's "welded together" using some kind of heating/fusing process. It took him a month to track down the material. He said that if he had to stitch it himself, the needle would create small holes which would let in moisture. We all know what that does.

Great looking `83. I love these cars!

I sold all but one of my deltas, and it's not in picture worthy condition at the moment. I have owned at least 10 of these deltas over the years.

Currently I'm cruising an 82 Electra, and the delta has become my hobby car that I pick at every once and a while when the weather is nice, and I need to keep myself occupied. I also saved a 62 imperial from the junkyard that will probably be olds powered by the end of the summer. What can I say...I'm a sucker for a split grille.

After piloting the imperial and the electra, the delta 88s seem like featherweight sports cars.

Here's my 1983 Delta 88 Royale.

Very limited options. No A/C, power windows, locks, seats, mirrors, ... The only options it does have are the two-tone paint, 307 w/200-4R and the F41 suspension.

And an action shot from the local drag strip.

Here is my '85 Olds Delta 88 Royale Brougham 4 door, kustomized. I acquired this at the age of 14, and fixed it up through high school. I still enjoy driving it today nearing the age of 22.

My Olds also parked next to my '63 Chevy 2 door Biscayne I fixed up.

Did all work myself. Paint done in Rustoleum spray bombs.

Thanks for this thread, hope to see more '80-'85 Deltas and '80-'84 98s!!

If anyone is looking for Olds 98 parts...my Dad is the guy to call. He's owned many '80-'84 Olds 98s for over 20 years now. He's got every part you can think of except for extra motors and transmissions. Fenders, glass, interiors, odds and ends, every single part. It would take me forever to list everything and I'd probably ruin this forum. You can write me at mike.maurice@maine.edu if you are inquiring about any part! Thanks

Nice work on your Delta! Did you customize the interior at all?

I'll keep your Dad's email on hand. Thanks!

They are 15". The car originally came with the full flat hubcaps.

That is a beautiful Delta! I'm curious, how did it run on the strip? I imagine a full-sized 307 car would probably run 18-20seconds in the 1/4 mi, but perhaps a stripped down model might be a bit quicker? Especially with the aluminum hood, bumper brackets, and intake. I've wondered ever since I ran into a no-option 1984 delta 88 in the u-pick-it yard here in Phoenix a year or two ago. I was very surprised to see a 307 non-ac car here! I grabbed all the brackets for kicks. What rear end ratio do you have?

Mine with the 307 runs a 18.74 @ 71.90 MPH this past weekend.

Of course I'm having carb issues and it also bogs off the line and runs 18.98, last time it was running in the mid 19's and last year it was running 18.20's totally stock in the start of the season and 18.79 at the end

This season I have a 442 dual snorkle air cleaner with tubing.

Is he NOT wearing a helmet?!?

Thanks Redog and henryk.

The local track is only an 1/8th mile, and no I am not wearing a helmet I think they only have a helmet requirement for faster cars.

My car has a steel hood and even steel bumper supports. Also being a Canadian car, there is no computer controlled anything (no CCC system). The Canadian cars didn't get it until 1985. The only modifications are a K&N air filter in the stock airbreather and true dual exhaust with high flow cats. The rear end is 2.73 with a 200-4R trans.

My best run was 11.156 s at 64.02 mph. I've used one of those 1/8th to 1/4 calculators and it works out to about 17.4 for the quarter.

Redog, I must admit I enjoy the backroads in PA, and the host hotel for the 2009 Nats was located so that you always had a nice drive to go anywhere. Around here it is mostly flat and a lot of straight roads.

Redog, when did you lose your first Delta?

And looks like you have the same idea as me, from the mention of the 330 in your sig line.

Although, now that I have the Cutlass, who knows.

Lost the first one in Sept 2008. It had a 1968 Olds 350 with a TH400. This one is getting the 330 but I'm getting a built 200R4. If the stock one could handle the 330, it would be in there now

And those back roads are a lot different than the back roads around here. Nationals was in the sticks of PA. It was like being in another state

Definitely interested in how this project turns out keep us updated! I am also in the market for some brand new shox prob going with KYB's will let the forum know how they ride.

What does the current car look like? Almost looks like 4 different deltas in those pics.

the most recent picture is the last one. I just installed some heavy duty moog coil springs and custom cups along with some truck shock absorbers to give it a nice lift without sacrificing the ride.

I wanted to put some air bags on it and drop it, make it a rat, but now i'm looking at installing an "astro roof", clean up the engine, bodywork and paint it. It looks pretty mean thought flat black primer sitting so high

I had KYB's on all 4 corners of my old Delta and I have them just on the rear of this one (have the fronts, just don't have the time to install them)

They ride pretty good. I'm happy with them. And at $22 a shock, can't go wrong
