Ok I need to pick a brain or 10. First off its a 54 88. The guy I got it from (not trying to be mean or state anything if he is on here love the car. BUT) lol took off the fuel pump and put eletric one on. Ok then cut all vac lines off. I want to put the line on the nipple under the carb.Will that work? or will I need a tank?
Then under dash the wiper **** or valve has two nipples on it for the lines I only see one one wipermotor-pump.

Don't know about the wiper switch, but if you hook wipers to vacuum without a tank, they will stop working when you accelerate and vacuum drops. If you are not concerned about originality, you can replace wiper vacuum motor with aftermarket electric. Maybe take some thought and searching, but I believe I have seen some kits for other makes.

Just a thought but if you rob vacuum from the carb base you could cause a lack of vacuum for the power brakes( if you in fact have power brakes) when the wipers are being used, something to check out before you get to far into the job.

I highly recommend the Newport system,works wonderfully and there is no mystery whether or not they will work when you turn on the switch.

On your original wiper motor the top fitting which looks as though it needs a vacuum hose attached to it is in fact a exhaust outlet and requires nothing on it. Best of luck wich ever way you go.....Tedd
