Beautiful Big Girl @ Texas Good Guys

I saw this Very Nice Super 88 at the Good Guys show on Friday at Texas motor speedway. Thought I'd share- not sure but it's probably someone's here.
I'm usually not really "into" the bigger Olds', but this was absolutely stunning & beautiful!!

Thanks for the pics.
Bill Mitchell changed the styling of the '59's radically in response to Chrysler's 1957 "Foreword Look " styled by Virgil Exner.
It was a time when cars were significantly different each year. And having a new car was a significantly big deal.
Amongst your friends and neighbors.

That model was the winner of the first Daytona 500.
Won by Lee Petty in February 1959.

That’s a really great looking ‘59. I figured that the Goodguys show was this weekend judging from the traffic on my way home yesterday. I won’t be going though as I’m headed to Glen Rose tomorrow.😀. WOW! What a great color combination!

Judging form the pictures doesn't look busy at all just the State Fair of Texas, attendance is WAY down this year. I read State Fair prices: 30.00 to park your car , 29.00 per adult ticket just to walk in the entrance! Your down 88.00 already and then the guys said he and his wife ordered 2 milk shakes after they walked in, 34.00 for them....

Beautiful car, and love the color combination. I'm thinking this is the first Olds that split the quad headlamps w/ the turn signals, used again on the '67-'68 A-bodies along with a few other late '60s Olds. Wasn't there also a Cutlass in the late '80s / early '90s that did that??

The Olds show in Glen Rose tomorrow is FREE. It would be my pleasure to buy any C/O folks a cold beverage should they take the time to come down to visit.. Let’s talk Olds!! “MW” 😊
