What are my exhaust options, can I run headers and duals?

I was wondering if headers designed for a Cutlass would fit?

Unfortunately, Rocketraider has oversimplified. The J88 shares engine, trans, and brakes with the Cutlass. The frame and suspension components are still those of the full size cars. The axle is unique in that is is the Cutlass center section, but with different tubes and control arm locations unique to the J88.

What this means is that Cutlass headers will not fit. The biggest problem is the rear steer configuration of these cars. On the J88 (and all full size through the 1970 model year) the steering linkage is behind the crossmember. On the A-body cars it is in front. This means that the space for headers is completely different.

I guess the stock exhaust manifolds will have to do.

I noticed off the drivers side manifold the exhaust pipe connects to the passenger side manifold then then out of the passenger side manifold the the exhaust continues back. Has anyone tried blocking off the passenger side inlet and routing the drivers side exhaust out back and just have piping bent to create a separate dual exhaust?

Any 330/350 Olds factory eqipped with dual exhaust has a block off cap on the rh manifold.

Cool!, thats what I'll have to do.
Anybody got a pic of what the factory block off cap looks like?
That way if I run across one at a swap meet I'll know what it is.
If I cant find one I'm sure I can make something similiar.

The factory cap simply looks like one of the exhaust pipe flanges with the opening blanked off. Most people simply cut the last inch or so off the crossover pipe, weld a plate to the end, and bolt it in place with the stock flange.
