!982 Delta 88

Does anyone know if the factory gauges/instruments that were available for the 1982/1983 Cutlass Supreme models, esp. the 307 V8, were able to be used on the Delta 88 models with the 307 V8? I was young in 1983 when a family member wanted to purchase a left over 1982 Delta 88, 307 V8, from a dealer. The family member however wanted gauges but the Delta 88 Brochure did not list gauges as an option. The dealer said he could use the same gauges that were used on the Cutlass Supreme models and did sell the car to my family member with gauges. I was remembering this experience with a family member today and wondered if the dealer really was able to use the gauges that were available and listed in the Cutlass brochure or if he used after market gauges. Not a big deal just curious That Delta 88 with the 307 lasted a long time and was extremely reliable and fuel efficient I miss Oldsmobile.

The factory gauges for the Eighty Eight and Ninety Eight models are completely different from the Cutlass gauges.

Thanks Joe. I was younger at the time and there was no internet to quickly verify information . Dealers at that time as I remember were competing with the Japanese explosion as well as some issues with GM.

I have a 1984 Ninety Eight [307] that has that full gauge package. Three square gauges in a built out panel below the speedometer.

I was told they're fairly rare and mostly came in Custom Cruisers...I could see them being in a Diesel.

I also heard you couldn't get a telescopic wheel if you ordered them
