The difference between 63 and 64 cast wheelcovers is the center plastic piece on the 64 is bigger, the finned piece is the same but the three bar casting is different.
they both will work but only on a 14 inch rim.
I picked up a set of crager 32 spoke 15 inch for one of my cars and can get a better selection of tire sizes and still keep my spedo working correctly.
When I get everything worked out I'll post some pics for you.
Steve

ok thanks, looks like I might be returning those hubcaps. No biggie, I kind think those wheels might pop a bit with the whitewall tires.

The Caps pictured on e-bay are 14" as were all Full Size Olds from 1957-69, except Toronado. They need clips and ONLY mount on the ORIGINAL wheels with slots for the clips. They measure 15" because they cover the wheel rim to rim. You pull them out to access the covered air stem. I have a 63 88 HC.
Smoothie Chrome Wheels are available from Cokertire or Wheelvintiques cheap.
I blasted and powdercoated the 14" original wheels on American Classic Radials w/ 1" ww and have Goodrich TA with Centerlines for Summer. P275/60-R15 on 15x8 Rears & P235/70-R15 on 15x7 Front. Many Guys put Buick Riviera wheels on Full Size Olds back then.

Ok well I ordered some 235/70 15 whitewalls with a 3 1/4" whitewall. As for the wheels themselves, I guess I might order some smoothies or something. For my starfire, I'm not interested in a mag look or a wirewheel lowrider look. I'd prefer more of a luxury low custom look.....Well guess I'll just send those hubcaps back.

Thankyou everyone for your input and will post pictures when I get this stuff done

We look forward to seeing pics. Wide whitewalls are always cool!

I love Photoshop

Someone was kind enough on HAMB to photoshop my car lowered with whitewalls. I won't be able to get it that low with stock arms but still looks cool.

That would look very cool. I like the wide whitewalls. You could always put an airbag suspension on it to get it that low.

Sorry what i meant was I plan on getting airbags, but even with airbags I can't go that low because the front ball joints would hit their limit. I would have to make or modify the front control arms to make it lay frame.

I found a '62 that had been really customized online somewhere....and thats the problem they had were the ball joints.
