Water leak issue driving me crazy!

I am having a issue that is flat out driving me nuts every time it rains outside when I get into my car the passenger side front floor carpet is soaked, I looked above the floorboard into the dash area and it was a little wet but it wasn't obvious to pinpoint how the ran water got in.

Anybody had or heard about this issue?

Water leaks like that are the hardest to find. Basically someone needs to lay in the car and look under there with a flashlight, while someone on the outside sprays water in different areas.

I wish it was just a 1 time thing but when it rains I know my passenger floor board is going to be wet, happens every time.

Should I worry about rust?

I vote the top windshield seem on the pass side. That's where it's coming in on this car and were it came in on the other one

If the inside of the AC box if clogged with debris, water will not drain from it during a rain and guess where it goes....
The cowl on these cars (and the G bodies) drain through the AC box and through a little drain flap at the bottom of the box.
You would need to crawl under the car to find it and it is not easy to find either.
Is the plastic screen at the top of the cowl vent intact? You might be able to see any debris in there with a good flashlight.

Check this out if the area around the windshield looks okay.

Behind the right side vent panel, there is a vacuum door assembly. The door assembly has caulking that goes around it and seals it to the metal. It's a common leak prob in AC cars.

The seal of the heater/AC box to the cowl itself can also be a leak source. The box is sealed with strip caulk which dries out over time. When water breaches the seal it gets into the ventilation ducts and can end up on the floor inside the car. Even worse, long-term leaking around the box can rot the firewall/cowl sheetmetal, leading to more leaks. If you can remove the AC box enough to inspect, this is worth doing if for no other reason than to renew the seal.
