67 Delta Convert- New Owner
I had the same questions. Why so cheap? Sometimes you don't really know what you really have under your nose. I've looked at literally hundreds of convertibles in the past year. This was hard to actually track down as it was posted by a friend for a friend, who took the car in on a trade (wholesale dealers).
The pictures posted on the Craigslist site do not do the car justice. It is much better than the post leaves you to believe.
It now has a new home in eastern Washington . Can't wait for the sun to shine.

Very Nice 67 Delta 88
Yup. Both manifold and carb are E's Performer. I still have yet to really look over the specs on this car. I purchased it Sunday afternoon and quickly 'stuffed' it into my aunt's garage near where I bought it(her car is out in weather . I had to rush back to Spokane for family stuff. I trailer it back next weekend. I'm sure it would drive fine, just avoiding weather on pass and any potential mechanical problems. It is in very good condition. Some of the stainless trim (seats, sills, etc.) have some minor dents but still in great shape. I plan to send out those to my steelworker. All upholstry recovered, very correct. Top is A+ as is all top mechanisms.
I'm very happy with this find.
My 1st Olds, looking forward to many happy 'topless' miles.

congrats on the score frdmftr.... I live in the Seattle/Mill Creek area too. Stop by if you have time, on your way over the mountains...
Looks like you found an extraordinary deal. I bought my 67 Delta 88 for $3500, but it needs a new interior, top & a little body work.

Thanks. How long have you had your car? It looks good too, for the price you paid. I've looked at some real basket cases for a lot more $$. You scored well, too. The recent 'muscle mania' has falsely jacked the junk market. I looked at a 64 Impala SS vert that was a total blackberry pile . They wanted $12.5K for a shell with no motor, trans, top, or interior. Claimed the could get more if they tried. Sure, 3 years, $30-40k, and probably a divorce, you may have s decent car.
You did good.
I'm back over this weekend to trailer it back to Spokane. Depends on weather, may give a call. My number is 1-866-835-2341 (ask 'Kate' to find me), answering service that forwards calls to me.
Happy cruising.
