Technical specs for Delta 88 - 1971

Hi guys

I searched the net for technical data / specifications / TSB / etc. but unfortunately there seems to be pretty less infos about the Delta 88 (1971).
The only thing which could be useful wasn't for free and I don't like to pay 15$ for such old information (35yrs )

Thanks for any tip...

From a reference book I have:

Standard equipment included: front and rear armrests, power front disc brakes, cigarette lighter, capeting, inside hood release, lamp package, seat belt with shoulder harnesses, power steering and chrome hubcaps. 4 door hardtop 4335 pounds, 4 door sedan 4308 pounds. standard engine 455 with 4.125 bore 4.250 stroke, 8.5:1 cr, 280 bhp @ 4400 rpm. five main bearings, hydraulic valve lifters, rochester 2GC carb. Wheelbase 124 inches, overall length 220.2 inches, front tread 64.1 inches, rear tread 64 inches. Historical notes: On full-size Olds, 72.9% had vinyl roofs; 81.3% had a/c; 8.7% had speacial automatic a/c; 1.6% had styled wheels and 2.1% had dual exhaust.

Lots of options too many to list here. If your Delta has a 4bbl carb then apparently it has been added after the factory. My '69 Delta had the same engine. Good luck with it and have fun.

All what Dan said plus extra chromey bits inside and out. 4bbl was an option.

@Oldsguy
would it be possible for you to post the scanned page here with the info about the tracks (front/rear) since I need a more or less official copy of this data for the matriculation.

thanks in advance...

best regards

I am printing this page right now and will take it to work with me tomorrow. I will fax you the info. (Sure hope I remember, paste note on forhead). If you want the book it is The Standard Catalog of Oldsmobile by Chevedden and Kowalke ; Krause Publications 1997.

I just noticed that I don't recognize you number as standard North American. area code plus seven digit number. do I just enter all those numbers or is that in another country?

Oh, you're so gracious to take the trouble for me...

I'm from Switzerland, I guess you just have to enter +41326652940

Thanks again for your help!

Best regards

I know shipping is outrageous overseas but, if you need something please post here as we might be able to assist you. There will no doubt be more old cars and parts here than there would be in Europe. Good luck.
