Rechroming plastic

What are my options for "rechroming the" plastic bits? Specificall the door pull trim on the inside.

Thanks

Keep in mind this process is generally very expensive so if you can find a reproduction or a replacemnt it will most likely be cheaper.

Totally depends on the model, sometimes it is easier and more economical. Try a search on this subject, there has been several threads just recently with a great deal of pertinent information that can help you make an educated decision.

Looking for a pair of the front arm rest bases for a 67 Delta 88. Does anyone know if the Delta used the same as other GM cars of the period?

Yes, they're the same. I bought my reproduction armrest bases and pads from Ames Pontiac (listed for a '66 Bonneville). Much cheaper than having originals rechromed/reupholstered.

These seem to be the correct ones for a 67 Delta

The seller also has them without the pads for cheaper

Ames sells the set for much less: https://secure.amesperf.com/qilan/De...6&web_access=Y

Edit: The link above is for an incorrect set (front doors of a 4-dr car). You should try calling Ames to be sure of the right part. The Tamraz link you posted does look to be the right one. I know the bases are notched at the front lower corner for the paddle handles. The pads have a notch for the hand pull area also.

OK, after checking a little closer, I believe Ames part #PA286JRE is the whole set with red pads ($99)
#PA256 is just the chrome bases ($53)

Thanks
I had the arm rest bases for my '66 Delta Holiday Coupe rechromed by a fellow out in Wisconsin.
They turned out beautiful. Cost me $ 35.00 each plus shipping.
The turn around time was about 3 months so if you're in a hurry, you may want to explore other options.
If you want the contact info, let me know.
