No. They are different.

 

Thanks for the information. I was afraid they were different, but not having both to look at made it hard to tell. Sorta hard to locate decent 88 bumper.

 

The easiest thing to do in a situation like this is use Google Images. Just go to images.google.com and search on the two cars you want to compare. There will almost certainly be images available, and you can compare for yourself. Rear-end images are sometimes more difficult to find than front-end, but I've always been able to find what I'm looking for.

In your case, there are lots of images of '63 88s and 98s.

 

The 63 88 rear bumper is 1 piece; 98 is three piece.
