use and modify an exhaust for a 95 ss impala. I used this system for my dads b body although it is a later shorter 77 b body. usually you can extend the system in the center and since the system usually comes in flanged pieces you can make a nice extension with out all the jimmy rigging. Just a thought.

If you're going to cut and weld, just get a generic 3" exhaust kit. A-body tail pipes will probably be close enough that you can modify them to fit. The intermediate pipes will need to be modified for length, muffler style, and position. Head pipes will need to be Olds-specific.

So, you're looking to flow 1,500 CFM, with an engine making 680HP?
I'm impressed. Tell us more about your build.
Or are you just trying to reduce your performance while making as much noise as possible?

I'm quite certain the need is real. Why would someone spend the money needed to go with a 3 inch exhaust and be making 400hp? I'm going to build, install, drive for at least a 1k miles THEN I'll take a visit to a chassis dyno. With the 4l80 I'm using I'd expect some more than usual power loss but I don't care. I'm looking for a nice nasty bulletproof driveline I can beat the **** out of for many years to come. When the build is complete I'll post my combo. I still might change a thing or 2.
