Other than a 1966 Delta Royale is a car that the factory never built, it's a trim level thing. Royales were introduced in 1969 as a luxury Delta 88 Holiday Coupe with semi-custom rear window treatment and often had buckets/console. They were also all 455 equipped the first couple years.

1965-66 88s were Jetstar, Dynamic and Delta. Starfire and Jetstar I were also in the B-body 88 lineup.

1967-68 were Delmont, Delmont 425 (67 only), Delta, and Delta Custom.

1969-on were Delta, Delta Custom and Delta Royale.

He asted, and Ah ansuhed.

Cornered the market, did you, Jeff? Sharp 75- always liked the 75-76 88 taillights, as well as the 71 and 73. The stacked taillights in 72 and 74 don't do it for me, which is strange because I think the 65 taillight treatment is gorgeous.

I've never liked louvered taillights on anything. I think that's why the 74 Delta strikes me wrong. You can imagine what I thought of 75 Monte Carlos.

I fit right in with 67 68 section (delmont) above though my car was the base model 330 without options and drum brakes all around I plan when the funds are available to put front wheel disk brakes on the car but I am smart enough to keep the origional parts if I ever plan to sell the car ( not likly)
