Kelsey Hayes Magstars wheels for 70 delta 88

Ok so I found these cool rare 5x5 bolt pattern wheels made by Kelsey Hayes called the Magstar the are beautiful but have run into a problem... the wheels are reverse wheels and the caliper hit the wheel. Thinking of clearancing the calipers so they will work or using a high quality spacer. I think they would bolt up to a drum brake car no problem

if I cant get them to work may try to sell them

There's a factory pre-production pic of a 67 Delta Custom Holiday Sedan floating around and the car has those gorgeous wheels. Shame they didn't make it to production. Made that big car look like it was flying sitting still.

What size are the wheels? I figured a 15" would have cleared those calipers.

They sure look like the rims on the silver 68 HO convert that has been posted...I am trying to identify what rims they put on these few cars that were made.Anybody know?

Don't use wheel spacers. My father; Oldsguy, used spacers on his 69 Delta 88 many years ago and the wheel fell off of the car. Luckily, he was going slow. He wasn't hurt and the car just got slightly damaged on the fender.

If you want aftermarket wheels measure your stock wheels and buy wheels that are the correct size.

Those are beautiful! They will really set off the look of your car, and they aren't as common as the regular rally wheels.

i have run many sets of aftermarket wheels on the car just wanna take the look back and have the option to run different sets, having run a tire store for8 years i know all to well the old hazards of spacers, since i have figured out some replacement rotors for the car it will be easy to add longer studs IF I want but I think after getting the wheels to fit by removing some of the massive caliper material, they will be ok.. That being said if the offers are rght I may not worry about it and sell them, just so torn right now I know these would be absoulutely bad *** but undecided

anyone really interested in them can call me but Have no clue what shippng and all that will be 859-329-3083

Looked for it on the web and can't find it. I think it was in the pre-production literature or maybe the 67 press kit. Thought for sure it would be on Oldsmobility.

I ran spacers on my delta for about 8 months. Had zero problems with them coming loose. Just make sure they're torqued enough, then torque em some more.

If they are off of a Merc Maruader X100 they will be 4 1/2" bolt pattern.

They're K-H aftermarket. X100 MagStars would have a Mercury centercap and as Henry has pointed out, Ford 4-1/2" bolt circle.

Two friends are pushing me to grab 'em and I'm still thinking bout it. They'd look great on my Starfires, but how long would they sit in the garage collecting dust?

I agree with that but i also know that there were some fomoco stuff 5x5 i have been told (take it for what it is worth) that this was a wheel used on them
I dont know all I know is I cant use them and want to sell them. Without any type of knowledge about value it is hard to sell
http://www.rustynutscarclub.com/Lug_nuts.htm here is a cool bolt pattern guide if i am ever unsure.
and it does list the 69 70 marauder as 5x4.5 but no listing for a x100

73-78 full size Ford and Mercury 73-76 Tbird, all 73-79 Lincolns all used 5 on 5" bolt patterns. The 69 X100 was 4 1/2 bolt pattern.

You have nice wheels but they didn't originate on a X100 if they are 5x5" pattern. Back in the '80's I parted out a insurance totaled X100 with 3 of the wheels and they were sold to a 67 V8 Mustang owner who installed two of the on the rear of his car.

You'll enjoy them in your garage a lot more than the dollars in the bank.

"how long would they sit in the garage collecting dust?"

Well, yeah we certainly can't have parts sitting gathering dust, right?
