Dome Light Operation in 63 88 Holiday Coupe
Hi guys...I am in the process of chasing down the courtesy lighting in our 63 88 HC
I can get the dome and quarter courtesy lights to come on using the slider switch on the dome light. Left position if off, middle position is on and right position is on. I have power at both door switches but the lights do not operate upon door open / close regardless of the slider position. I am assuming one or both of the door switches have failed to ground.
Question: The slider switch - need to know if the left position is all off, if middle position is on for door open / close operation and if right position is on manually. (a three position switch)
I find nothing to confirm this in the service manual.
Thanks.

Okay...I pulled the jamb switches off one at a time and was able to get the dome and quarter lights to come on by touching the white wire from the jamb switches on the body (grounded the circuit) Was able to get the driver side jamb switch to function as designed but the passenger side is no good. Need to find two new jamb switches. Still have not determined if slider switch at dome fixture is two or three position.

Can't help you with the slider switch as I'm not familiar with that part on your car. I do somewhat remember on the door jamb switches, I believe that there is 1 terminal that should be tied to ground and the other goes to the lights.
