does a 1984 olds delta 88 have a standard or limited slip differential

im kind of unsure as to which i have, it has a 307 small block 200-c transmission and a 7.5 ring gear differential 2.41 ratio, i was driving in snow eariler i got stuck, when i accelerated the passenger tire was spinning then i heard somewhat of a growling noise from the differential and i saw the driver side tire spinning too, so im wondering as to wether its a limited or standard, as in regular driving conditions only the passenger tire spins, i have to do a fluid change and need to know if its limited or not as i might need the limited slip fluid additive

Smile Simple

If you raise both rear wheels off the ground and spin one of them, if they both spin in the same direction then it has a posi or if you raise one wheel and try to turn it there will be a certain resistance to overcome the clutch friction (in neutral, brakes off)in a posi diff...a non posi diff will have each wheel spin in opposite directions when both wheels are off the floor...

99.99% it's an open 7.5"
They'll both spin, just 1 spins a lot faster than the other.

If you want a posi rear grab 1 from a 90's caprice cop car, or a 73-77 Cutlass.
