Cowl Vent Drains

I have a 55 Super 88 and in trying to get this restored I noticed that there are cowl drains available from fusick - but my car doesn't seem to have them - or any remains of old ones - or holes for them. Is this something that wasn't on that model?

Do you have a 55 shop manual, it should show the cowl drains locations if you have them. My 57 has these drains and they are shown in the manual. hopfully someone with a 55 can chime in and help you out soon

Mystery

Thanks Citcapp - I do have the shop manual and don't seem to see them where the diagrams in the catalogs show them. There is a tube that looks similar on the bottom of a vent assembly that doesn't seem to exist on my car - the heater assy has been removed - I do have it and should look at it - I think the block off plate may be where these should be located - and on the drivers side there is a flat plate with no holes. The shop manual shows only a drain under a vent box that is on the drivers side - which can't exist as that's where the steering and brakes are mounted.

Once I get the engine out I can do some more exploring and figure out where they should be and figure out how to do something....
