'83 98 Regency air vent problem

My dad owns a 1983 Regency 98 and there seems to be a slight problem with the air system. A year ago I removed the radio because it was not working right so I figured I'd check for any loose wires before going out to replace it. After I reinstalled it, the vents were not blowing air even with the fan on max, with the exception of the upper dash vents near the windshield and the two vents on the tranny hump. I checked and there are no loose connections with the hoses, but the front dash vents and side vents by the glove compartment will not give even a whisper of air. Any advice?

Larry, that smoke thing is a great idea. Gotta tell you, never heard that one before but I think I'll use it.
