Carbuerator Swap-425 engine

Ok i recently came across an Edelbrock 04b intake. i currently have a 2bbl card sitting on top my factory intake. i would like to switch a 4brrl but an mot sure which on to get.

You have many choices and you may have to modify your throttle linkage to ensure your getting full WOT. I suggest either a quadrajet for a BBO, or an edelbrock thunder series 750ish cfm.

Does that O4B have a spreadbore carb mounting pad? Not all of them did.

There are two big ovalish shaped hole atop it.

Ok so i picked up the edlebrock #1406....it has 600 cfm..what do you think?

It'll work fine for street driving. A bit small-ish for performance use, but it should have nice throttle response & decent fuel economy.

ok how about a #1411? i dont plan on racing it. i just want it to respond when i need it to..if ya know what i mean..

since your engine was originally a 2V. I would think either one would probably work fine.

You might give this a try, and also before you settle on one, check out the Quadrajets.

I've got an Edelbrock performer 750 on mine and I've never been able to get it dialed in where I'm really happy with it. I believe at some point the Q-jet may be getting rebuilt to go back on.
