Have you done any searches, particularly on craigslist?

Here's a nice-looking '68 Delta coupe in Las Vegas. Price seems right at $3,500.

Here's what appears to be a nice '68 Delmont convertible, although the photos are upside down (I hate when that happens), and the $10,000 asking price is probably more than you're looking to pay.

Here's a not-bad Delmont coupe that looks quite restorable at a decent price ($2,200).

Here's a '68 that makes me puke just to look at, but it's a four-door, anyway.

Here's another '68 Delmont convertible. No photos, but it sounds good, and he'll send you photos if you ask. Price is $6,800.

To me, it sounds like that 2-door in Little Rock for $2,200 is in the price and condition range you're looking for. The $3,500 one in Las Vegas also looks good for you. It looks like it would need less work.

Get out your dialing finger and let us know what you end up with.

There's a guy in my neighborhood who daily drives a heavily patina-ed 68 Cutlass convertible. Poverty caps and black walls. I've recently seen a greasy old lawn mower sticking out of the trunk as it went down the road. That's about as real world as it gets.

In either the L.A. or Inland Craigslist there's a '69 Delta 88 coupe for $500 minus drivetrain. There's also an engineless '72 98 Regency coupe for around the same price.
