Milan is going to do his next motor project like this. AH64pilot has his 455 similar and it produced 500 HP . I believe Milan said he's hoping for 500 also.

Depends on how radical the cam is. I could also see 400hp/500lbs tq.

Anything is possible, but wouldn't 400 HP be a reasonable number to expect from a properly built STOCK-HEADED 455 with a mild cam and 10:1 CR?

Big Olds build up a few years back in one of the mags. Stock E brocks on top of Speed Pro pistons...Comp X-treme 230 in 236 ex @.050, Torker with Demon ..Hooker 2" headers..497 Horses.

Ah64 got 500 with similar combo but solid cam.

I would think 425 - 450 is a good estimate. I got 500 / 550 but with higher compression, a bigger solid cam, and port matched intake. Check out my engine thread to give you some ideas.

Or Danny can give you some specs from a friend of ours car, he runs just about neck and neck with me and he's got a hyd. roller.

about 10 to 1 compresssion jm 18-20 cam with headers and those heads stock and i saw this on a rear wheel dyno. 338 at the wheels net and about 408 net torque no bs. or gross about 425 horsepower and 510 torque.

Yes I was just giving the OP a low number also cause without the cam info its hard to say. Just bolting on Aluminum heads wont get you 500 hp. But 500 hp is attainable.

My 455 with 20-22 cam, ported G heads, O4B intake, 9.5 to 1 compression, W/Z manifolds, and a Ruggles Q-Jet carb got me 400 HP and 510 TQ on pump gas (engine dyno verified)

I used forged pistons, stock rods/crank, balanced, Cloyes Tru Roller, Comp Cams roller tip rockers.

This combo has 15-16" of vacuum, runs great on pump gas, and pull hard, especially mid range.
