78 Delta 88 Royale resto.
Hey all, I'm a newbie and recently purchased an 88 for $800. It's not in perfect shape but not a total disaster either. It was a daily driver and still is. Does anyone know a good place online to order OEM replacement parts? I'm trying to restore it and would like to keep it as original as possible. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome!
Chassis and regular replacement parts are best had from Rockauto.com if you are in the USA and your local parts store does not offer them (or have a good price for them). Look for 5% discount codes posted on this site!
Keep this thread updated on your progress and post some pics soon. Those big cars are great highway cruisers!

What kind of parts are you looking for? I have some remaining from my 78 and 79. Here's a few.

hey brother, i also just bought a 78 royale four door for the same price. a 78 was my first car in 1989 so, im also trying to find good used and nos parts to recreate my first ride as it was then. so far, aside from here, the emblems and nos stuff turns up on ebay. but you have to keep checking as it only comes up here and there..i just bought a nos royale trunk lock cover there for $125. too bad its not a 442 or we could get repros cheaper! hood ornaments are there and carpets also for about $150.. there are people who specialize in nos parts, but you will do alot of searching as i have so far. good luck with yours, and if i come across something you could use, ill get in touch.

Like above... Shoot us a little list or so...
Sport Mirrors will and do fit.
I saw the pics of the ride in one of your other posts... Very decent starting point...
I paid $800 for mine too... It's a long way from $800 now though.
My advise: Don't scrimp on the parts, spend the money, buy the good stuff. It is worth it in the long run.

I love my 78 Sedan and I bought myne for $500 thru in a battery and she started up with no problems after sitting for 6 months. Welcome and best of luck on finding ythe items you need. I've been trying to find a rear bumper for years in my area and can't find nothing and due to millitary can't travel outside of state much.

Thanks all for the help. I posted pics of my car on here as well. I am trying to stay true to form and get as many original or OEM parts as I can. I want the only thing that's not original in my car to be the stereo I put in it. Maybe later I'll get one of those "recreations" that's modern but looks like the old two-**** style that was originally in it but for now, I'll focus on the rest of the car. If I find any parts outlets either local or online, I'll post them on here too. Thanks again.

For good or bad, I ditched the factory deck... It was an AM/FM stereo from GM....
A Pioneer Premier with Infinity speakers went back in. I looked at it like this... The likelihood of a 78 Holiday 88 being a rare collectible one day is, well, not gonna happen. There's a difference between classic, rare, and collectible. Since I am the one that spends the most time in my car, I am building 'er to my own tastes.
So far, it's been a BEAUTIFUL experience.
My first ride was a 78 Buick LeSabre. I always said if I ever found a 78 Delta with 2Drs, I'd be all over it. I was looking for a Cutlass with factory buckets. The two combined and fell into my lap...
