1995 88 grille options

Was a chrome grille ever available for this model? Would one from a 98 fit? If so what years?

Like this 1998 Regency,

I believe a grill from the 98 would work. Just make sure it's a 95 or 96. I know the earlier (91/92) 98s had a completely different design.

OK, I just don't see these cars in the junkyard like I did just a few years ago.

They're over 25 years old and few remain on the road. Wrecking yards aren't going to keep cars when the parts have little demand. Cars like that get crushed pretty quickly for the scrap value.

I still see 98s and 88s from that era in the salvage yards from time to time. I have alerts set on my phone when they come into the salvage yard at the local LKQ. In fact, I just got an alert a few months ago. When I went in to look at the car (the day after it posted), there weren't any parts I was interested in.

Big difference in what you find in northeast junkyards and out west. While these cars were popular when new, rust probably took them off the road years ago, so pretty rare to find one in a junkyard now.

The fenders won't rust on these cars like the older cars, they're plastic. The rust issues are in the subframe mounts. I've heard stories of the subframe mounts failing as the car is driving down the road!

Here's a website you can use to find cars in a salvage yard near you:

Bummer!

FWIW, I used the above website when I found a core 7.3l turbo engine for my 86 Ford F250. It was located in Ft. Worth, TX so I drove down one weekend and picked it up. Thankfully, my dad lives near Dallas so I was able to do a combined trip.

Good luck finding the parts you need.
