Starting to get my recently purchased 59' under way. Where would I find the original paint and interior codes? Most of the old cars I have dealt with have a plaque mounted on the body, usually inside a door jamb. I'm not finding one on my car. I found a tag inside the driver door with the VIN, but nothing else.

 

Anything on firewall?

 

Nothing obvious, but I will look again.

Looked over the car again, checked all four doors pillar/post areas and the firewall. Found nothing except the serial/VIN tag.

 

Look on the cowl, between the heater and the windshield wiper motor. Should be covered with test dirt.

 

I will take a closer look at this area and see what I come up with.
