I've been doing research on our website and on-line trying to figure out which u-joints I need. Please confirm if the Moog / Precision 534G joints will work for my 71 98? I know I have 3 u-joints in my driveshaft. Thanks.

I believe that the 534G is for the front, only.

 

Hmmm... RockAuto and the O'Reilly Auto Parts website list 534G, 5-3147X and 5-795X as good for all three positions. I just wanted to verify so I wouldn't have to make extra trips to the parts store.

I need to reinstall the alternator on my 71 98 and fill it with coolant for the Coffee and Cars tomorrow. Maybe I will replace the u-joints on Sunday.

 

On some vehicles it seems like the only certain way to get the correct joint is to remove the old ones and match them up in person before making the purchase.

 

This is the no fail option.
