Another O-type question

I have a 70 O-type with 2:56 gear. I bought the Richmond 3:42 gears and the spacer. Has anyone put one of these together? Is there anything to look out for or be aware of?

What spacer are you talking about? You cant mount the 3.42 gear on the 2.56 carrier and make it work. Buy a new production posi for it. Jim Monzaz or Brian Trick from here can get you what you need.

This question is for someone that is familiar with the process. The 3:42 gear will mount to the 2:56 carrier. You can research it on this website. I did buy the spacer and obtained the basic knowledge of this from Brian Trick. Thanks

Measure all of the shims when you taking it apart, and make sure everything de-burred. And most of all take your time.

I'm assuming you also have the appropriate bolts for use with the spacer. Other than what has been said about deburring, it's the same as any other ring and pinion installation.
