What came stock?

Hey, my 69 cutlass 4-door has a 10 bolt rear axle. Someone broke the tag off, and now i cant tell what i have, what would have been in the rear end from the factory ? its a 350 bolted to a th350, and is all original to the car, along with the fact that its a 10 bolt open diff. Looking to put a spool or mini spool in it. any help would be great, thanks!

If you're going to drive it on the street, you don't need a spool.
Spools are to make both wheels lock up and go straight all the time.

Putting a spool in your car is a bad idea unless you plan to race often.

Isn't the axle code stamped into the axle tube? Look for some letters and numbers on the right top forward of the vent if it's like a '71.

I think a 69 should have had a 12 bolt. Your ten bolt may be from a later car.
