Motive Gear

Does anyone have any experience good or bad with Motive gear?

I found a ring and pinion for a 8.5 in 4.30 gear part #GM-430.This really splits the difference between a 4.10 and 4.56.

Any feedback would be great.

thanks Jim

I'm running motivegear in my car. Other than the runout being really close to out of spec, I've had no problems since running them for 2 years.

Seems they might be one in the same these days.... Motive bought Richmond gear line.

The Motives I bought had closer backlash variance around the ring gear than Richmonds. If they become "one and the same" I hope the QC improves on the Richmond side.

Richmond

The whole reason Richmond got bought out was QC on the transmissions they sold. (drove them selves into money problems with return product.) What makes you think the gears will be any better. American made or Korean or any other country.
WE need to do better job in ALL our jobs out there in the world. Period. Lets get some pride people. Sorry another one of those mornings...lol.
