Intermediate steering arm seal leak

Searched other threads on this, seems like guys had damage somewhere and just got a new one or on one I think a sledgehammer was involved. Service manual shows how to remove arm, is there a kit to R&R the seal and if so is this a very difficult job? Thanks

Wasn't too hard, here is a thread on it.

I broke the "C" clip dissasembling mine be careful of that. Also if you do not remove the cross "T" you can get the new rubber boot over the "T" by running under hot water for a bit and then soap it up with dish soap and then finesse it over the "T".

MAW get a new rag joint too, and don't use Mobile 1 synthetic grease to repack, it will leak out.

I don't see where the seal is broken and leaking. If the seal is good, just wipe the joint clean and leave it alone. It looks like someone just put way too much grease in it.

Thanks for the link. Doesn't seem to painful. Para and Allan if you happen to read this what technique did you use to clean the shaft up, they both look really nice.

Eric, thanks I will use that as plan A. That's the kind of repair I'm confident with! BTW I replaced the power steering box recently, now that it is working properly any chance this is having any effect on the seal that I'm gonna just wipe down for now and evaluate?

When you reconnected everything you might have pushed some of the grease down by the seal and it's just oozing out. All that's in there is a pin and swivel joint.
