O-axle gears,still not coming
May/2014 was to be the date when the O-axle gears were to be back into production.Nope. Yesterday,I recieved a notice that my long-time order for the O-axle gears has been cancelled,so it sounds like it will be quite awhile yet,or never.
I am looking at another possibility for gears, but if I can bring them to reality, they will be at least $500.00/set. Don't all jump at once.
I am in the process of moving & buying another house,so I won't be pursuing this for awhile.

Actually I might use the common 71-up 8.5" 10-bolt corporate posi. It would help with the process. Just alter the pinion program.
There is a few options to look into.
You can have anything made. Someone had these 5:37 O-axle gears made.Maybe I can run a triple overdrive with them.

I had the original 8.5" 10-bolt housing in my 72,until 2006. It consisted of 30-spline Moser axles,Eaton posi,3:70 gears, and a W27 cover. I removed it and installed into a different car,and is still going today.
I bought a Moser 12-bolt housing, and built that with 33-spline axles,Eaton posi,3:73's,Strange billet yoke, and a W27 cover that is drilled for the Chevy pattern. I had no reason to build the rear, but I did want the future option to run a 3:55 ratio. In my opinion, the 8.5" 10-bolt and the 12-bolt Chevy are equal in strength, but I prefer the 8.5" 10-bolt due to availability of the housings, and they already have bolt-in axles. The factory 28-spline shafts can take a good amount of abuse.
