Help with ratio

I have a 1970 'O' axle rear end. I'm trying to figure the ratio. The numbers stamped on the ring are 14A39 GM S2 46. There are 39 teeth on the ring. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Any ring & pinion, divide the smaller number into the bigger number. I think 2:78 is your ratio.

Thanks. It's little more difficult to read the pinion but I will give a go. I was hoping that the stamped code on the ring had a clue in it.

Thanks, Mike

Mike,
The 39 is the number of teeth on the ring gear, the 14 is the number on the pinion.
