Gasket seal for 1970 12 bolt rear

I am having a hard time finding a gasket for a 1970 12 bolt rear end cover. the ones the auto parts stores give me don't match the bolt pattern. The yearone gasket doesn't look like the original. Help ?

Just use RTV. I used Permatex Ultra-Grey on my cover and it works like a champ. Ensure both sides are really clean and free of gear oil and you should be good to go.

Don't go in and ask for a 12 bolt cover gasket. They all think they are all the same (chevy), but of course we know they are mistaken.

Here ya go.

I smear a little rtv on both sides, for extra insurance. If I don't have the gasket,I just use more rtv. They make the original black style, like what is pictured, and some places also sell a tan paper style. The black ones are a little thicker, and will work better with or without rtv. The tan ones are thinner, and I would suggest using rtv with them.
