front end/suspension

Gents,
Any recommendations as where to purchase a complete front end… ball joints, tie rods and ends, pitman and idler arm, etc. Also, I would like to buy new shocks and springs as well, they don’t have to stock looking but I would like to get my ride height a little higher. Would like to get them all from one place.

Thanks

There was a co. on the back covers of the magazines that seemed affordable!
Just Suspensions comes to mind - what's left of it!!!

Kanter sells complete kits with stock parts. You can probably do better pricewise by buying individual pieces from RockAuto, however.

I've found O'reily to be as competitive as any of them!

Its really Tough to beat PST's pricing if buying stuff individually.

I got all of mine from Rockauto a-la-carte. I recommend Moog brand if you plan to stay stock.

Now all I need is some time and good weather to install them all!

You ain't gonna' be installing anything around here for awhile. Tomorrow snow, ice, sleet; Wednesday AM 15 degrees, w/a high of 31! Super Bowl is Sunday, should be 60 by kickoff!! Love that Texas weather.

I agree with Ben. I used PST products on my 64 98. They worked great. I bought the rubber bushings instead of the poly bushings.

Not to dump on P-S-T, but their Super Kit for an A-body, which includes inner tie rod ends, sleeves, idler arm, and upper arm shafts in addition to all the other parts is $369. Kanter gets $249 for their Delux Kit [sic], which does not include the $55 idler arm. I still get $304. Both prices are for stock rubber bushings.

Thanks,

Not to get caught up in the hype, but has anyone tried the polygraphite bushings and is there a difference?

You don't replace the pitman arm. Most places won't even have a listing for one. They are not wear items and just never break.
