Driveshaft length question

I need some info on the driveshaft length for the 69-72 Cutlass with 350 engine and TH350 transmission. Specifically, what length driveshaft is used with the O-Type rear and what length is used with the corporate 8.5" 10 bolt rear? I remember they are about an inch different but I don't know what the actual measurements are.

I have a pile o parts and need to determine which driveshaft goes with which setup.

I removed a 350/th350 from my '68 442, along with the driveshaft. The car has a "O" type axle. The shaft is 55" from center to center on the yokes. I'll qualify this by saying I have no idea what the shaft came out of, however the fit was perfect.
I still have the shaft if you need any other info...

Fun...Dennys Driveshafts has the exact proper procedure for measuring this on their web site. Print it off and crawl under the car with a tape and caliper. I just did an aluminum shaft for the 68. Very high quality and Denny is very friendly on the phone.

57 5/8" in my case. Stock TH400 and O type 8.5.

Be aware there may be ebrake altercations if you deviate from the OEM tapered style shafts.

Thanks for the info but I'm not sure I can really trust it since it's obvious your setup was pieced together: no 350 442s in that era and the TH350 wasn't used in 1968.

That will be a bit hard to do since there isn't a vehicle to crawl under
