Axle bearings
you really do not need to buy the axle bearings at this time and most part stores will have them also. If the car is in store just wait till you can get under the car down the road or till it gets back to your possession in the spring. They are light and will not take long to get there. Jim

I have a mag base with an interapid indicator so I'm going to give it a shot, My buddy Wayne Robinson owns "Brakes Plus" here in Orangeville. So I have good back up and a hoist.

[QUOTE=Fun71;637596]How do you do this? I would like to make a set-up bearing.[/QUOTE
I have no idea I figure I will just wrap some emery cloth on a shaft and use drill to lap mine out a bit. I'm thinking -.001 or 2 thou just a slide fit. Put the shaft back in with the old bearings and use a feeler gauge to check what thickness of shim will be needed. Depending on how hard the bearing is as to what grit of paper I guess.
