Question 1967 442 Rear gear Question

I've got a '67 442, 4speed, with a 3.90 open rear end. I have 2.45-60 15 tires. I do not race this car, just a little fun on the street sometimes. On the highway, this 3.90 just allows the engine to rev too high. I'd like to install something more highway friendly and still use most of my existing pieces. Any suggestions?

Your cheapest, easiest option is to get a taller tire.

rear end

WHAT size rear do you have in the car? How many bolts on the cover ? Shoot some pictures IF it is a 10 bolt 8.2 you can go all the way down to 3.36 on that series carrier and 3.55 would work too. Jim

IF it is a 12 bolt cover you will need to do alot more to get it down to a reasonable ratio. Jim

It's a 10 bolt cover for sure.
