12 bolt Chev style axle question

I'm headed to the Good Guys event in Pullaylup this weekend and there will be a couple of vendor's there selling differentials etc. I might possibly pick-up a posi carrier for my 3:07 set. I won't have time to take mine apart so I was wondering if anyone knew for sure whether I have a 30 spline or a 33 spline in my 69 442?

If it is the stock Chevy 12 bolt from a Canadian built 442 then it is 30 spline. No Chevy 12 bolts came from the factory with 33 splines. That is an aftermarket only upgrade.

Stock 30 spline for sure Randy. Look for some 3.31 gears to go with the carrier.

Have fun on the parts run!
