New To The Forum
I am new here, figured I'd go ahead and post my ride. I'm a 20 yr old college student that is looking to learn as much as possible. My ride is a 1970 Cutlass that was literally all original when I bought it, she has under 25,000 miles on her; she started right up on the original plugs and wires. Since then I put new plugs and wires in, kept the originals, lowered the thermostat and had to recore the radiator.

Welcome aboard!
She is sure nice looking; I like that blue color!
Heck, i bet just a good cleaning inside out would get her ready for some shows - a VERY nice original!!
Awesome project, too!
I love seeing the younger generation taking interest in the old car hobby, too!

SWEEEEEET! It's good to see someone drivin a fourdoor rather than tearin it apart for parts for a two door. Around here the fourdoors always seemed to be low mileage and, generally, in much better shape. Welcome and take care of it!
Not right now it's so original i don't want to do anything to it, when it eventually starts having problems i'll throw some mods on it, but for right now like i said its just to clean and perfect to do anything to i think.
The interior is quite literally mint. When i went to look at the car in Ohio my mom was with me and she said it reminded her of the new car smell from when she was a kid. It had the old AM radio in it, which doesn't work, I'm hoping to fix it. In the mean time i found a shaft radio to put in so that i didn't have to cut up the dash. But other wise it is completely mint, down to the mats. When i get a chance I want to post some pics of the interior.
Find you a set of SSII or SSIII wheels and use the lettered tires and put a set of dual turbos on it and you will be in business. Don't through the wheel covers and original wheels away. They sound of a set of turbos will make you love the car even more. That is what I would do. Seriously, just remember it is your car and do what you like. Just don't do anything that can't be undone on an original car this nice. Congratulations on a nice car. You will not meet yourself coming down the street for sure.
Regards,
Fred
Since you want to keep it stock (great plan, by the way imho) and it doesn't work, might I suggest you do this with your stock AM radio.

John does great work. I've had two radios done by him and they come back looking brand new. Plus, it's nice having the A/C adapter for your iPod. Once I get my interior restored, I plan on playing radio airchecks I've recorded for that real '60's feel. haha.
In any event, let me know if you want John's e-mail address.
Tom
Oops. I see Fred replied as well re: the radio. While I'm sure they do good work, John is about $150 cheaper than the price Vintage Auto Radio is quoting. Anyway, there's a couple choices for you.
