Hi,
on my Cutlass 69 conv. I miss one socket for the instrument lamps? Where can I get one? Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
And I am switching back to regular lights after installing LEDs in the instrument, because the LEDs didn't do a great job. Some quit work and to control the brightness via dimmer is not working that well, either. So would the lamp #168 work on all dashboard lights or is it wider to use different lamps?
Thank you,
Tom

Ah, the socket. You place the bulb into the socket, then screw into the instrument panel, correct?
That might be a used part only, not available new. I don't know for sure.
I probably have one or two of those as many of us do.
Let us know .

eBay is your friend.......http://www.ebay.com/itm/6pcs-Led-ins...a54190&vxp=mtr
^^ Nice find. The socket advertisement says "LED" but will accept a conventional incandescent bulb.
LED's do not dim down by reducing voltage to them rolling your dimmer ****. They require a "pulse circuit" device added to cycle them on/off rapidly giving the illusion they are dimming as the pulse gap widens.
Cheers
