3 = Oldsmobile division of GM
G = Series: Cutlass S
87 = Model: 2 door hardtop, aka 2 door holiday coupe
U = L75 455 4bbl engine
2 = 1972 Model Year
R = Arlington Assembly TX
118639 = Production sequence at Arlington. This is the 18,639 car down the assembly line. All Olds production of A bodies started at 100001 at all factories.

ST 72 = 1972 Model Year
3 = Oldsmobile
36 = Series: Cutlass S
87 = Body style: 2 door hardtop
R = Arlington Fisher Body Works (where body and interior were assembled prior to shipping to Arlington Assembly)
BDY 06452 = Body number assigned to car shell by FBW Arlington. Not related to VIN
TR 947 = White Moroceen theme interior
A51 = Strato Bucket seats
PNT 75 75 = Matador Red lower/upper paint
10B = Week body shell was produced at FBW. This is not the date the car was finished. 2nd week of October 1971
676 = ??? Are you sure? Could it be "B85" by chance? If not it's likely something unique from Arlington related to the actual build sheet for the car. Can you post a picture of the Cowl tag?

BTW, since this is an Arlington car, there's a chance you could find the build sheet for it on top of the fuel tank, unless that's been replaced.
