Doing body work right now and I am buying an upgraded cassette deck with 100 Watt of output. I can probably make the other one fit in the back, no rear speaker right now.

4 x 10 is the correct size. However the resistance of the new speakers is 4 ohms, not 8 ohms the factory used. This only matters if you are using the original radio, which has the output transistor's collector biased for 8 ohms. The 4 ohm will work without damaging the radio, but rebiasing is required if you want good sound.

Be sure to use a quality speaker and actually measure the resistance if you have ANY doubt. Bargain speakers in this size often are very low resistance (below 1.3 ohms) which will damage the original radio.

Aftermarket stereo. Just wondering how deep the factory bracket is for the front speaker? I know aftermarket 6x9's fit like **** in the back brackets of my G Body.
