I am wondering if 1972 44 grille inserts will fit into a 1970 cutlass S holiday coupe? I am new to owning cutlass and attempted a search to find out if anyone else has inquired about this but to no avail. Thank you in advance for any help anyone can provide

 

No they won't. The 71/72 grilles are narrower and taller as a result of different hood and bumper shapes and differences in the grille surround areas. You would have to substitute 70 442 grilles to get a different look.

 

Thank you for the answer that kinda ruins my day but it is what it is thank you everyone here has been so nice I know I am asking dumb questions but it is nice that people dont make fun of me I saw the car on craigslist and thought why not have something to work on when I return from deployment

FYI, questions like this often come up. An easy way to find the answer is to use Google Images. Compare the front end pictures of a 1970 and a 1972 and the difference (and non-fitment) quickly become obvious. Just look at the differences in the leading edge of the hood, for example, as well as the stone shield.
