Hi guys new to the forum and after a brief look around you guys truly are olds aficionados. I’ll do my very best to not offend anyone and this is my first time ever posting on any board ever. I was recently at the auction to purchase a truck for my business and a 64 cutlass F 85 rolled across the auction block and I purchased it. I’ve done the research I could so far on the vehicle but the information out there seems sparse to say the least. I’ve owned well over 40 muscle cars in the past and some of them were pretty serious units and I consider this cutlass definitely one of them. The car seems highly optioned but I’m going to post some pictures and maybe you guys could help me out since now I’ve yank the engine and I’m going through it because the car definitely deserves the extra labor. I am not representing this as a 442 because clearly it is a automatic transmission. Original interior I believe. Missing the AC pump and bracket. 64 330 high compression? Wish I had more to go on, vin tag is intact if that helps. Could not find this casting number listed anywhere. ? Left Quarter is damaged but it will be repaired soon. Currently I need a Lt Qtr panel wheel lip mounding.
Congrats, and yes, it's not a real 442. Looks nice, however. Style number 3237 is a Cutlass Holiday Coupe. The engine unit number T084804G indicates that this is a 330 (T) with high compression (G). That's pretty much all of them with 4bbl for 1964. This is the L74 290 HP motor that was standard equipment in the Cutlass models. A49 is deluxe seat belts, B70 is padded dash, and B80 is chrome drip rails. The latter two were standard on Cutlass models. Be aware that the 1964 models have the one-year-only shaft mount rocker arms, the one-year-only water pump with the driver side inlet, and unique accessory brackets. The missing A/C brackets can be difficult to find - I had to search for them for my 64 Vista. K K paint code is Tahitian Yellow upper and lower. The A is the wheel color (black). TR 960 is black vinyl interior.
Thanks guys, first marriage man this was the only marriage! Next woman even mentions marriage she’s getting hit with a taser and pushed from a moving car! Too harsh?

I remember having that attitude too. It will go away in a year or so when Mrs..Ex #2 comes along.

Who doesn't! Olds made these out of a rare metal... unobtainium...... To get serious here that molding is very difficult to find. They were aluminum and got dented easily and the aluminum oxidized over time as well. If you find a mildly dented and bent one they can be straightened. Interior is original or original style...very nice.
Welcome to the group... Congrats on your recent acquisition...Sorry for your first marriage loss... I personally never had one of those, the key for the past 48 years has been to convince her that cars were a way of financial stability, it seems to have worked so far...
