tire help

My 88 CSC is in need of tires and wanted to know if I could get by with 245/60 14s on stock rims. Would that look good?

They will be about a half-inch small in diameter, which might look a little funny if your car already sits up high. But I wouldn't worry about that too much.

However, you can expect the front tires to rub the fenderwells at full-lock. In fact, if I remember correctly, even a 235/60R14 will rub, depending on you car's tolerances. Of course, you usually don't turn the steering wheel full-lock except at slow speeds in a parking lot, so it's not that big a deal. You'll hear it rubbing, then back off a little.
