small block down pipes.

Will the "Pypes" down pipes fit a 71 Cutlass Supreme with a 350 and stock manifolds that already have the cross over pipe blocked?
I really just want to do the project myself at home verses taking off work to get it done. Thank you.

Yes they will work. I have their down pipes and rest of their system on my 72 Supreme 350.
BTW i have the street pro mufflers and they are terrible. They both have something inside them rattling/vibrating.

The system in terms of fitment fit great.

I just want to use these pipes and whatever it takes to get a pair of Thrush Welded mufflers to the rear end and dump.

Can you give me the Pypes part# to look up those pipes, it's not in the image filename.

Thanks!

The guy up above says he put them on a 72 with a 350???? Any adjusting or??? We may never know, people like to keep others in the dark about important things but will give a 35 min speech about oil and filters!
Im going to buy the pipes and do the project and at least I will know if they fit or not.

Sorry my mistake i should not have responded at all. Your going to dump on the only guy who responded to you with any pertinant info at all this is why guys don't bother with putting anything out there to help
If you read the text i said the fitment was great. If there were any concerns i would have said as such. Did i not mention issues with their mufflers if you are choosing to use them?

Are there any leaking issues with the two inch manifold opening going into a 2.5" pipe?

^^^This!

One thing to keep in mind is that Olds designed the outlet ports on the A-body manifolds to be in about the same place for both BBO and SBO applications. That's why the pipes fit a small block also.

How they are made is they start with a Stock size pipe flare(2" or 2 1/4"?) whatever it is, then immediatly, within 2" or so, blow up to the 2 1/2" pipe.

May I ask how far back they reach?

From the pic they don't look as if they are long enough to reach the mufflers, are they?

They go back to the crossmember only. These are made to fit aftermarket exhaust systems to stock manifolds, weather it be Pypes or Flowmaster Etc. These would take up the space of headers.
These are down pipes Not Head pipes

Yes, I'm aware that they're not headers.

I'm thinking about replacing most/all my exhaust and my glasspacks with new pipes and Dynomax Turbo mufflers, those Pypes pipes look like a good start.
