Seat upgrade '69 Cutlass

Every fall we take a 3 to 5000 mile trip in our '69 Cutlass. 50 year old seats don't work well for our 70 year old buttsl Any suggestions for upgrade beyond new foam. This is a convertible so vinyl seats. Obviously seats sit very low so may limit options. Due to health issues, wife would like reclining passenger seat if possible. Would also consider cloth even though it won't be as original as the rest of the car. Suggestions for foam replacements? Thanks, Terry

Legendary has oversized cushions and covers that would fit on your existing seats. They would fit and match perfectly and be more comfortable. They wouldn’t give you the recline feature though.

A reclining passenger seat was a rare but available option on the 66-68 buckets. The seat frames are the same from 66-72. The recliners come up on ebay occasionally. I actually scored one earlier this year. Considering that vendors repop the seat frames, I'm surprised no one repops the reclining seat back.
