Restoration of a 1979 Cutlass

Hello,

a few weeks ago a bought my self a rather old Cutlas. It was standing for nearly 15 Years in a garage. Of course there is quite some corrosion on the chassis which will take some time, and parts to get back the beauty of the car. Unfortuenatly here in Germany not many people know their way round with US Cars. So hopefully someone here can help me getting technical data, part shops etc.

The engine of the car is a 4,3 Diesel (very rare, I was told)

Thanks in advance for all your help.

P.S.: Sorry for the bad english. I''m from germany :-(

English is just fine. Welcome to the site, and congratulations on the find. Post pics when you can! As far as the 4,3 diesel, I have never heard of one.

Wilkommen.

We look forward to seeing pictures. The 4.3 was used in the late 70s as an alternative to gasoline engines. Not very strurdy as diesel engine.

Welcome to the site. Your english is fine. Hopefully someone on the site has the info you need on your engine. Questions concerning the body and other items can be addressed by several people on the site. Good luck
