Radiator For 1987 Salon

I have a 1987 Cutlass Salon with a 355 and was wondering what would be a good radiator to put in it?

I am currently running the 307 one and it is not up to the task. Would anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Not sure where you are located, but if you have a radiator repair shop within reasonable distance/local, have them boil and rod out the core. If it is found to be unserviceable, have the core replaced. The A/C cars came with a 3 core copper/brass from the factory and were very good at cooling in all ambient temps. I ran my '86 in Kansas, Florida, Texas, Nevada in all seasons and never had a problem. I had the core cleaned and rodded in 2010 and even with the lower 25% partially built up with debris, cooling was still adequate.

What is the actual problem you are having??? Have you already ruled out water pump, fan (with/without clutch), etc...

It's overheating in traffic with the A/C on.

Thermostat, water pump and the clutch fan are all new.

What temp is it getting to? Ignition timing and lean carb settings can also lead to higher temps. For a radiator you'll need to go to the aftermarket using your radiators physical dimensions or get yours cored to a larger size.

Let's back up. WHICH 355, for starters? Olds or Chebby? What else has been done to the motor? How is the vacuum advance configured (ported or manifold vacuum)?
