progress
Well I finally got my '69 Cutlass "S" driving that I bought last year. Took me longer than it should have but I have been busy with other things. I put an edlebrock intake on it, quadrajet carb, and just did some other minor stuff around the engine. I also had to redo most of the brake system, get new tires, put on hooker headers, flowmaster exhaust, patch the radiator.
The odometer says 45K miles and the papers in the glove box start with about 6K in '82 to about 28K in the early 90's. I wonder if I find the old owners they could tell me if the meter ever rolled over. It runs really strong and now sounds really good. I just need to work on the dash (i'm hoping to find aftermarket gauges somewhere); do some other minor electrical stuff; replace the rearview mirrors, armrests and visors; and change out the door gaskets and window seals. For the most part its in really good shape. The interior is really clean and straight aside from the gauges being ugly and dash being cracked. The outside looks alright except for a couple bubbles in the paint and a few small dings. Needless to say i'm excited to have it on the road and out of the garage!
